A top price for Lu Yanshao
This artwork by Lu Yanshao achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Sunrise In Tai Mountain sold for HKD 16,250,000.00 (€ 1,855,531.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000,000.00. This high result makes Sunrise In Tai Mountain the most expensive artwork by Lu Yanshao that we have observed at auctions so far.
