This artwork by Louise Bourgeois achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in July last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Give or Take (How do you feel this morning?) sold for USD 63,375.00 (€ 62,120.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Bourgeois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spider in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 32,055,000.00 (€ 28,751,457.53).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Bourgeois erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Give or Take (How do you feel this morning?) für USD 63.375,00 (€ 62.120,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Bourgeois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spider im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.055.000,00 (€ 28.751.457,53).
