Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Un Coin de Jardin by Louis Welden Hawkins for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,531.62). This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Welden Hawkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Préludes in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,952.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Un Coin de Jardin von Louis Welden Hawkins für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.531,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Welden Hawkins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Préludes im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 97.952,26).
