Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Away From Prying Eyes by Louis Ricquier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,602.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Louis Ricquier have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2009 the work Belgian Away From Prying Eyes was auctioned for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,109.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Away From Prying Eyes von Louis Ricquier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.602,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Louis Ricquier konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2009 die Arbeit Belgian Away From Prying Eyes für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.109,53) versteigert.
