Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Country Landscape by Louis Michel Eilshemius was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,920.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Michel Eilshemius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ballet Girls in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,327.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Country Landscape von Louis Michel Eilshemius kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.920,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Michel Eilshemius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ballet Girls im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.327,42).
