Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1790 by Lié Louis Périn-Salbreux was sold in the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,744.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lié Louis Périn-Salbreux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady in a landscape, facing right in white dress with blue sash, brown shawl draped around her shoulders, short curly dark hair; flowers and foliate background in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 25,850.00 (€ 41,135.49).
