In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Gentleman sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,136.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Lié Louis Périn-Salbreux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young lady in a landscape, facing right in white dress with blue sash, brown shawl draped around her shoulders, short curly dark hair; flowers and foliate background in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 25,850.00 (€ 41,135.49).
