Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work The faggot gatherers by Louis Simon Cabaillot Lassalle for GBP 384.00 (€ 556.99). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Simon Cabaillot Lassalle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the way to market in September 2003 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 5,917.73).
