Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Pictures, which included the work The dog's new trick by Louis Simon Cabaillot Lassalle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,390.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Louis Simon Cabaillot Lassalle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2003 the work On the way to market was auctioned for GBP 5,875.00 (€ 5,917.73).

Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The dog's new trick von Louis Simon Cabaillot Lassalle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.390,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
