Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Etude De Paysage by Louis Hilaire Carrand was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,250.00. Other works by Louis Hilaire Carrand have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2010 by the work Marais Dans Les Dombes at EUR 2,295.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Etude De Paysage von Louis Hilaire Carrand im März 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.250,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Louis Hilaire Carrand wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2010 die Arbeit Marais Dans Les Dombes mit EUR 2.295,00.
