This artwork by Louis Finson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in November 2015. In the Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction, the work La Madeleine En Extase sold for EUR 73,720.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Finson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Annunciation, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 212,500.00 (€ 190,600.05).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Finson erzielte im November 2015 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings wurde die Arbeit La Madeleine En Extase für EUR 73.720,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Finson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Annunciation beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 212.500,00 (€ 190.600,05) versteigert wurde.
