Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Anne Charles Sigismond De Montmorency-Luxembourg, 10Th Duc De Piney-Luxembourg (1737-1803) by Louis Carrogis was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,803.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Carrogis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Gentils hommes Du Duc D’Orléans Dans L’Habit De Saint-Cloud in September 2015 with an auction result of EUR 531,000.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Anne Charles Sigismond De Montmorency-Luxembourg, 10Th Duc De Piney-Luxembourg (1737-1803) von Louis Carrogis kam im Januar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.803,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
