The price achieved of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 192,138.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Carrogis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Gentils hommes Du Duc D’Orléans Dans L’Habit De Saint-Cloud, which sold at auction in September 2015 for EUR 531,000.00.
