It achieved a price of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,069.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Braquaval - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Place de l'Hotel de Ville, Paris, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,573.19).
