The price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,117.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Bonamici - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Quay, Corsica, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,381.34).
