In the Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work A lady, in white mull gown with embroidered gauze Van Dyck collar, green silk sash at waist, cerise Cashmere shawl over her shoulders, roses pinned to her white muslin cap, double-strand pearl necklace sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,514.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis-Ami Arlaud-Jurine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Young Boy Studying, Circa 1790, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,773.54).
