Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work River Landscape by Louis Alexandre Cabié for GBP 840.00 (€ 1,247.43). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Alexandre Cabié - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At the weir; and Angling on the river bank, which sold at auction in January 2009 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,502.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit River Landscape von Louis Alexandre Cabié für GBP 840,00 (€ 1.247,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Alexandre Cabié mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit At the weir; and Angling on the river bank beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.502,66) versteigert wurde.
