Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work The Vegetable Market In Venice by Louis Abel-Truchet. The price achieved of EUR 9,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Abel-Truchet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 189,071.66).

Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Vegetable Market In Venice von Louis Abel-Truchet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Abel-Truchet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 189.071,66).
