In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle by Louis Abel-Truchet. Here, the upper estimate of USD 175,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 200,000.00 (€ 189,071.66). With this result, French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle is even the most expensive work of art by Louis Abel-Truchet that we have observed at auctions so far.
