Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frenchfairground, Place Pigalle by Louis Abel-Truchet was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 27,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Abel-Truchet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 189,071.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Frenchfairground, Place Pigalle von Louis Abel-Truchet kam im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 27.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Abel-Truchet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 189.071,66).
