Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Abel-Truchet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 189,071.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit At The Races von Louis Abel-Truchet wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.125,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Abel-Truchet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French la Fête Forain, Place Pigalle im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 189.071,66).
