Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Crafty 13 by Louie Cordero was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 7,500.00 (€ 814.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louie Cordero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lead Brothers in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,750.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Crafty 13 von Louie Cordero im Juni 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 7.500,00 (€ 814,69) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louie Cordero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lead Brothers im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.750,54).
