Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Loudon Sainthill could be acquired at Bonhams in Sidney in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Australian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for AUD 590.40 (€ 550.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Loudon Sainthill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Set Design For 'Romeo And Juliet' in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,625.00 (€ 3,049.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Loudon Sainthill konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für AUD 590,40 (€ 550,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Loudon Sainthill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Set Design For 'Romeo And Juliet' im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.625,00 (€ 3.049,09).
