Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Phoenix by Lotti van der Gaag was sold in the Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lotti van der Gaag - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tonglach, which sold at auction in September 2010 for EUR 17,500.00.
