Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Troll 2 by Loretta Lux was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,060.00 (€ 2,860.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Loretta Lux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marianne in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 38,676.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Troll 2 von Loretta Lux wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.060,00 (€ 2.860,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Loretta Lux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marianne im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 38.676,84).
