Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sanremo by Ludovico Cavaleri was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 250.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludovico Cavaleri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Campagna in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 2,356.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sanremo von Ludovico Cavaleri im Juni 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 250,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 200,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludovico Cavaleri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Campagna im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.356,00.
