Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of AUD 48,000.00 (€ 29,041.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lloyd Rees have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian The Morning Ferry in November 2009 with an auction result of AUD 240,000.00 (€ 146,346.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Grecian Image von Lloyd Rees kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 48.000,00 (€ 29.041,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lloyd Rees auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian The Morning Ferry im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 240.000,00 (€ 146.346,54).
