Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Raising of Lazarus by Livio Mehus was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,016.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Livio Mehus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Annunciation to the Shepherds in May this year with an auction result of USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,383.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Raising of Lazarus von Livio Mehus kam im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.016,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Livio Mehus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Annunciation to the Shepherds im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.383,71).
