Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A standing male nude holding a sling, probably a study for a David (recto); A reclining male nude with eyes closed (verso) by Livio Mehus. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,960.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Livio Mehus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Annunciation to the Shepherds, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,383.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A standing male nude holding a sling, probably a study for a David (recto); A reclining male nude with eyes closed (verso) von Livio Mehus zur Versteigerung kam.
