Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running - Cursive Script Calligraphy by Liu Yong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 88,200.00 (€ 10,569.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 672,000.00 (€ 686,243.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running - Cursive Script Calligraphy von Liu Yong kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 88.200,00 (€ 10.569,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 672.000,00 (€ 686.243,48).
