A top price for Liu Yong
When the work Calligraphy by Liu Yong was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 200,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 672,000.00 (€ 686,243.48). This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Liu Yong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Liu Yong
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy von Liu Yong im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 200.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 672.000,00 (€ 686.243,48) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Liu Yong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
