Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work Camels by Liu Wenxi was worth HKD 153,400.00 (€ 16,423.87) to a buyer in April 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Liu Wenxi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of An Old Man in July last year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 104,814.74).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Camels von Liu Wenxi war einem Käufer im April 2021 HKD 153.400,00 (€ 16.423,87) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Wenxi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of An Old Man im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 104.814,74).
