Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Liu Wenxi was sold in the Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,658.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Wenxi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of An Old Man in July last year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 104,814.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Liu Wenxi wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.658,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Wenxi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of An Old Man im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 104.814,74).
