Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Liu Wentao was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,664.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Wentao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Drawing (Set Of Seven) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,524.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Liu Wentao wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.664,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Wentao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Drawing (Set Of Seven) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.524,00).
