Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Liu Wentao could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,603.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Liu Wentao have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2015 by the work Drawing (Set Of Seven) at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,524.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Wentao konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.603,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Liu Wentao wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2015 die Arbeit Drawing (Set Of Seven) mit HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.524,00).
