Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Liu Qinghe could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Growth I, Ii & V (Three Works) changed hands for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,674.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Qinghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Five Sisters, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 437,000.00 (€ 44,990.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Qinghe konnte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art wechselte die Arbeit Growth I, Ii & V (Three Works) für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.674,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Qinghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Five Sisters beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 437.000,00 (€ 44.990,42) versteigert wurde.
