Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Liu Qinghe could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Beautiful Water Ii & Iii (Two Works) changed hands for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,799.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Other works by Liu Qinghe have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2014 by the work The Five Sisters at HKD 437,000.00 (€ 44,990.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Qinghe konnte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art wechselte die Arbeit Beautiful Water Ii & Iii (Two Works) für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.799,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Liu Qinghe wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit The Five Sisters mit HKD 437.000,00 (€ 44.990,42).
