Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape, 1967 by Liu Kuo-Sung was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 51,200.00 (€ 48,374.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuo-Sung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Trajectory of the Planet in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,838,152.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape, 1967 von Liu Kuo-Sung wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 51.200,00 (€ 48.374,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kuo-Sung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Trajectory of the Planet im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.838.152,17).
