This artwork by Liu Kuiling achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction, the work Roosters sold for HKD 153,400.00 (€ 17,461.39) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuiling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Squirrels; Foxes; Rabbits; Cats in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 5,575,000.00 (€ 610,816.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Kuiling erzielte im April 2019 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II wurde die Arbeit Roosters für HKD 153.400,00 (€ 17.461,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kuiling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Squirrels; Foxes; Rabbits; Cats im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.575.000,00 (€ 610.816,21).
