Auction result well in line with expectations
The work General Li Guang Shooting an Arrow by Liu Kuiling was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,600.00 (€ 24,187.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuiling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Squirrels; Foxes; Rabbits; Cats in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 5,575,000.00 (€ 610,816.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit General Li Guang Shooting an Arrow von Liu Kuiling kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.600,00 (€ 24.187,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kuiling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Squirrels; Foxes; Rabbits; Cats im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.575.000,00 (€ 610.816,21).
