Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse by Liu Kuiling was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 120,000.00 (€ 15,377.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuiling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Squirrels; Foxes; Rabbits; Cats in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 5,575,000.00 (€ 610,816.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse von Liu Kuiling wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 120.000,00 (€ 15.377,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kuiling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Squirrels; Foxes; Rabbits; Cats im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.575.000,00 (€ 610.816,21).
