Upper estimate price exceeded by 70%
The work Various Animals by Liu Jiyou was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June this year. It achieved a price of HKD 204,000 (€ 24,825), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Liu Jiyou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 2,180,000 (€ 189,450).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70% übertroffen
Die Arbeit Various Animals von Liu Jiyou kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 204.000 (€ 24.825) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Jiyou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.180.000 (€ 189.450).
