Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Jiyou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Three Sheep; Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 25,500 (€ 2,770) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Jiyou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 2,180,000 (€ 189,450).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Jiyou erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Three Sheep; Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 25.500 (€ 2.770) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiyou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.180.000 (€ 189.450).
