Upper estimate price exceeded by 28%
In June this year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Spring in the Grassland by Liu Jiyou. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 153,000 (€ 18,619), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Jiyou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 2,180,000 (€ 189,450).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28% übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring in the Grassland von Liu Jiyou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 153.000 (€ 18.619) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiyou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.180.000 (€ 189.450).
