The work Girls And Animals by Liu Jiyou was sold in the Chinese Paintings Online auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June last year. It achieved a price of HKD 31,875 (€ 3,462), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Jiyou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 2,180,000 (€ 189,450).

Die Arbeit Girls And Animals von Liu Jiyou wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 31.875 (€ 3.462) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiyou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.180.000 (€ 189.450).
