Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Girl and Lion by Liu Jiyou was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 22,950 (€ 2,600) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 20,000 - 30,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Jiyou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 2,180,000 (€ 189,450).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Girl and Lion von Liu Jiyou kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.950 (€ 2.600) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000 – 30.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiyou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.180.000 (€ 189.450).
