Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Jianhua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Asia+ / First Open auction, the work Unknown sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,033.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Jianhua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Games (Polychrome Ceramic Series), which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 168,000.00 (€ 124,879.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Jianhua erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asia+ / First Open wurde die Arbeit Unknown für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.033,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Jianhua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Games (Polychrome Ceramic Series) beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 168.000,00 (€ 124.879,21) versteigert wurde.
