This artwork by Liu Jianhua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Game sold for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 30,840.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Jianhua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Games (Polychrome Ceramic Series) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 124,879.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Jianhua erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Game für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 30.840,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Jianhua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Games (Polychrome Ceramic Series) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 124.879,21).
