Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Which is Earth? by Liu Kuo-Sung was worth AUD 104,550.00 (€ 62,388.54) to a buyer in August this year. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection at Bonhams in Sydney and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of AUD 25,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuo-Sung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Trajectory of the Planet in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,838,152.17).
