Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Sun by Liu Kuo-Sung was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 319,258.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Kuo-Sung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Trajectory of the Planet in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,838,152.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Sun von Liu Kuo-Sung wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 319.258,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Kuo-Sung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Trajectory of the Planet im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.838.152,17).
